Laoma King Legacy of Love
Laoma King, Born May 5, 1932; raised in New Bern, NC by her grandmother and grandfather. A mother of eight but an inspiration to many.
A Life of Compassion and Resilience
Laoma was a woman who believed in the power of personal connection. Her approach to life was simple yet profound: share your story, embrace your trials and triumphs, and use them to uplift others. Her openness about her own mistakes and challenges made her relatable and approachable to everyone she encountered. It was through her personal journey that she inspired countless individuals to persevere through their own difficulties.
Throughout her life, Laoma engaged in numerous charitable activities, volunteering her time and resources to support many in the community. She did all of these charitable acts through many avenues such as grass roots efforts, other organizations and her church Saint Stephen Freewill Baptist where she served until her passing on 2023. Whether it was organizing and supporting the sick and shut in, mentoring young minds, or being a pillar of support for those in need, her actions spoke volumes about her dedication to service.
The Laoma King Legacy of Love nonprofit was founded to continue Laoma’s mission of spreading kindness and helping those in need one act of kindness at a time.
